Several Streets in Cambridge Closed After Overnight Fire
Cambridge Police are warning residents to find alternate routes to their commute this morning after a four alarm fire broke out.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Cambridge Police are warning residents to find alternate routes to their commute this morning after a four alarm fire broke out on Auburn Street overnight.
According to the Cambridge Fire Department said the blaze was first reported around 1 a.m. in the area of 171 Auburn St.
According to Cambridge Police, Magazine, Auburn, Franklin Street will remain closed into the morning commute.

In a post on the Cambridge Public Schools website, officials warned students and parents about delays with busing in the morning.
Please expect major delays on all school bus routes throughout the morning as buses criss-cross the city to different schools. We will try to post specific updates on the @cps_buses Twitter, but the entire system is likely to be affected. Families are encouraged to use the Bus Tracker system, which is available for the majority of bus routes. We appreciate your patience as we seek to deliver students to school safely during a challenging situation. We wish to express our appreciation for Cambridge Fire Department, for evacuating the affected building and ensuring all occupants were safe, while swiftly extinguishing the fire.

Three buildings were damaged in the fire: 22-24 Magazine St., 170-172 Auburn St. and 166-168 Auburn St.
Fire officials credited an "aggressive attack" by responding fire crews with quickly knocking down the fire. All occupants of the impacted buildings were evacuated; no injuries were reported.
