Shots Fired In Cambridge: Police Investigating

Police reported a person on a bicycle fired a weapon at another person.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The Cambridge Police Department has reported that shots were fired at approximately 11 a.m. Friday on Sherman Street.

According to the department, a man on a bicycle shot at another person in the area of Harvard University's Radcliffe Quadrangle before fleeing the area in the direction of Garden Street. Police believe he could now be heading toward Harvard Square. Ballistic evidence was soon recovered at the scene, and police believe there were no injuries sustained at this time. The shelter in place was lifted within an hour as police said there is no ongoing public safety threat to the area.
