Teen Arrested After Crashing Stolen Car Into 2 Cambridge Cruisers

A 19-year-old from Boston is facing charges after police say he crashed a stolen Jeep into two Cambridge police cruisers on the same night.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A Boston teenager has been arrested after crashing into two Cambridge police cruisers Monday night.

Around 9:15 p.m., Cambridge police officers say they found a 2021 Jeep Wrangler on Franklin Street after it had been reported stolen out of Everett.

The driver, Kenny Jnleys, 19, of Boston attempted to escape the area but rear-ended a responding unmarked Cambridge police cruiser, then almost immediately backed into another Cambridge police car.

Cambridge police say Jnleys then tried to run away from the scene but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.

No officers were injured and their cruisers sustained minor damage.

Jnleys already had warrants out for his arrest out of Suffolk Superior Court and Roxbury District Court, including larceny of a motor vehicle, police said.
