Three City Athletic Fields To Utilize Outdoor Lighting Daily Until 7:30P.M. From November 9 Until December 7

These include St. Peter's Field ,81 Sherman Street, Hoyt Field, 13 Gilmore Street, and Donnelly Field, 99 Berkshire Street.

The City of Cambridge will be lighting three of its athletic fields daily until 7:30 p.m., from November 9 through December 7. These include St. Peter’s Field ,81 Sherman Street, Hoyt Field, 13 Gilmore Street, and Donnelly Field, 99 Berkshire Street.

This pilot program will allow for passive use of these fields after 6:15 p.m. on weekdays, and from dawn until 7:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays. All park use rules apply, including keeping your pets leashed and cleaning up after your pets. Currently, no organized or team sports are permitted on the fields or adjoining basketball courts, other than the City approved Fall on the Fields program which ends on Friday, November 20.

  • Compliance with the City’s mask order
  • Maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet from others at all times

Members from the Cambridge Community Corps will be visiting the sites to raise awareness of important COVID-19 safety habits, including good hand hygiene (washing hands for at least 20 seconds or if a sink is not available, using hand sanitizer.
