• Karen Read's Lexus SUV will be auctioned off on January 30 (cbsnews.com) — Karen Read’s Lexus SUV, once central to the investigation into Boston officer John O’Keefe’s death in Canton, is set to be auctioned in Massachusetts on January 30. The vehicle was previously stored at the Canton Police Department and shown to jurors near Fairview Road during Read’s trials, which ended with her acquittal on most charges. 
• Change of venue hearing for Matthew Farwell moved to end of January (wcvb.com) — A high-profile homicide case tied to a 2021 death in a Canton apartment is moving forward, with a hearing on changing the trial’s venue now set for January 20. Prosecutors accuse former Stoughton officer Matthew Farwell of killing Sandra Birchmore after years of alleged abuse, while his lawyers argue pretrial publicity could taint a jury.
