The Camp Kids, a group of student musicians, come to perform a free concert at the Canton Public Library, Sunday, July 28.

Usually the Canton Public Library is closed on the weekends in the summer, but the library's doors will be open this Sunday, July 28, at 3 p.m. for a free concert from The Camp Kids, a group of student musicians.

The following is from the Canton Public Library website:

The Camp Kids is a group of 15 student musicians from South Shore communities who came together through a summer music camp at the Thacher Montessori School in Milton instructed by Victor McSurely a member of Boston’s Blue Man Group.

The Camp Kids held their first performance for a school benefit and have since held benefit concerts for Doctors Without Borders and for the families of Sandy Hook first responders in Newtown, CT.

They have been featured on the R.E.M youtube channel.

The Camp Kids will play a free concert at the Library on Sunday, July 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Community Room.
