The impact toppled the pump and triggered the fire suppression system, coating the busy area in white powder but quickly bringing the scene under control.

• Norfolk County Sheriff graduates 18 officers and announces next academy (patriotledger.com) — A new class of 18 correctional officers graduated at the Irish Cultural Center in Canton, where Norfolk County officials also introduced Frank Reynolds as the new jail superintendent. The sheriff highlighted Reynolds’ long service and promoted veteran officer Carolyn Pecevich, while also announcing the next recruit academy will begin in February 2026 for those interested in law enforcement careers.
   

• Obituary: Ralph Michael 'Bingy' Luongo, 87 (thereadingpost.com) — A local family in Canton is mourning the loss of Ralph Michael “Bingy” Luongo, whose daughter Lisa Sullivan lives in town. Ralph, 87, was a longtime Massachusetts resident remembered for his warmth, humor, and love of tennis and golf. His family plans a private Celebration of Life and suggests donations to Minuteman Senior Services in his memory.
