Charity: Race for Rehab
“Each year I say that I will take a break from my Boston Marathon runs for a couple of years. A respite for my aging joints and a hiatus for my long standing generous donors always seems in order, but once again I have decided that to run for Spaulding Rehab to support its great work with patients and their families and to help further the cutting edge research and teaching that truly distinguishes Spaulding throughout the world. Spaulding’s patients do not have the opportunity to press pause and as long as I am healthy and able, I will continue to run for them. I also decided to run again because the memory of the tragic bombings in 2013 remains present in my mind and I want to support the Boston Strong movement to let the world know that as a community we have overcome and will not concede to terrorism.

Since its inception, over 225 individuals have collectively raised more than 2 million dollars for Spaulding for Spaulding’s Annual Fund, dedicated to patient care, teaching, research and ensuring that our patients have access to the latest and greatest technologies and therapies.”
