CHAD Plans Charlestown Youth Athlete Breakfast

Former Boston Bruin Brian Leetch will be the guest speaker on April 14.

Former Boston Bruin Brian Leetch will be the guest speaker at an upcoming breakfast open to young Charlestown athletes.

Charlestown Against Drugs will host a pancake breakfast for all Charlestown youth athletes on Sunday, April 14 at the Schrafft Center dining hall. The event will begin at 10 a.m.

“Brian [Leetch] will speak to the families about hard work, good decision making and listening to his parents, coaches and others who helped him along the way,” according to an event brochure.

Leetch played 18 years in the National Hockey League, as a member of the New York Rangers and the Boston Bruins. He was a member of the U.S. Olympic Ice Hockey Team during the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics, winning the silver medal.

The event will also include a free raffle with a few hockey sticks and posters signed by Leetch, plus a visit from BLADES, the Boston Bruins mascot.
