Charlestown Boat Fire Leaves 5 Injured, BFD Investigating
The boat had been fueling up at the time but did not sink as a result of the fire on Sunday.

Firefighters and Boston Emergency Medical Services treated five people for injuries at the scene of a boat fire in Charlestown Sunday night, according to the Boston Fire Department.
Of the individuals who were transported to the hospital for injuries, one sustained leg burns and another endured a leg injury, while the other victims’ injuries were unknown, according to Boston fire officials.

The boat involved was reportedly an “open cockpit type boat and not a cabin cruiser” and had been fueling up at a dock when the fire sparked around 5:45 p.m. in the area of Terminal Street in Charlestown, according to BFD.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze shortly before 7 p.m. and investigators were on scene to look for a cause and origin. The boat did not sink, according to BFD.
