CHARLESTOWN, MA — Charlestown High School has entered a "safe mode" as police search the area for a suspicious person on Thursday.

Police say they are focusing their search on the area of Edgar and Elm streets.

School officials confirmed the high school was placed in a "safe mode" around 12:30 p.m.
