Community College Offers Free Tax Help
Under the program, volunteers are available Tuesdays through Saturdays to assist taxpayers with federal and state income tax returns.

As the April 15 tax deadline nears, the Bunker Hill Community College Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program has opened for the 36th consecutive year on the Charlestown Campus.
Under the program, volunteers are available Tuesdays through Saturdays to assist taxpayers with federal and state income tax returns. The program, free of charge, is for taxpayers earning up to $58,000 per year.
Volunteers in the College VITA program are advanced accounting students who have passed a course in Federal Income Taxation, earned certification by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and taken additional training from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. The IRS this year recognized the College program for more than three decades of service to taxpayers.
