First Annual Charlestown Stroll for Hope Announced

A new benefit walk is planned to take place in Charlestown next month.

The First Annual Charlestown Stroll for Hope will take place at the Knights of Columbus hall, 545 Medford St. in Charlestown on Sunday, Oct. 26, according to the Charlestown Neighborhood Watch.

Registration will be held at 8 a.m. the day of the event, with the walk beginning at 10 a.m. The 2.5-mile walking event is organize by a volunteer-based committee, and CNW said no money raised will go toward administration or event-related expenses.

The stroll itself will move along Medford and Main streets in Charlestown, and is open to walkers, runners and bicyclists, as well as those requiring wheelchairs, babies in carriages and dogs on leashes.
