Plus: You've got plans this weekend. There are two very important fundraisers happening at the Knights.

Today is Friday, Feb. 18. Here are five things you need to know today.

1. I refuse to pander to this stereotype, but, well, an alleged . A combination of state and city police, plus federal agents found and arrested Anthony Hamilton, 24, this week in connection with a robbery last December at a Citizens Bank in Malden. Local departments think the robbery was part of a string of bank robberies in Eastern Massachusetts between December and early January. The FBI also posted a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the Dec. 16 robbery. Wonder if anyone got it.

2. There are two important fundraisers in the neighborhood this weekend, and if you don’t already know about them, you should. On Saturday night, the is hosting its “Fun in February” event — a party at the Knights, essentially, to celebrate the spirit of Joseph Cannizzaro, Sr. All proceeds will be donated in Cannizzaro’s name to anyone that has blood-related cancers and receives treatment at Mass General Hospital. For $20, you can dance, enter raffles and catch up with friends. This year’s theme is Michael Jackson. And on Sunday, fundraiser. For $25 (or $200 for a table of 10), you can be entertained and support an excellent local resource.
