Man Busted With 100 Pounds of Pot at Boston's Logan Airport

Massachusetts State Police, along with DEA agents, busted a San Jose man with 100 pounds of marijuana at Boston’s Logan International Airport Wednesday night.

Based on intelligence gathered during an investigation, law enforcement officials were awaiting the arrival of Trang Pham, 31, who flew in a Delta flight from San Francisco.

Investigators, including a State Police K9, greeted Pham upon arriving at Logan Airport. Officials obtained a search warrant from East Boston court, authorizing them to search the two suitcases he was carrying.

After searching Pham’s luggage, investigators found 100 pounds of marijuana wrapped up in heat-sealed packages.

Pham was charged with drug trafficking. He was held overnight and is expected to be arraigned Thursday in the East Boston District Court.
