Man Killed In Broad Daylight Shooting In Revere

REVERE, MA — Police and Homicide Detectives are investigating after a man was shot dead Monday morning in Revere.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting near the area of 112 Thornton Street to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds, police say.

The victim whose name has not yet been released was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where he did not survive his injuries, WHDH reported.

Police took one person of interest into custody on Francis Street, and another was later brought into the station for questioning while the area was sealed off with crime tape and evidence markers.

No additional information was immediately available.
