Neighborhood Watch Meeting Set for Wednesday
Groups invited to participate in Boston Shines initiative at the end of April.

This week Carolyn McNeil, the Neighborhood Watch director from Boston Police Department, will host a meeting with the Charlestown Neighborhood Watch at the police station. Representatives from Boston Public Police will be there to talk about crime patterns and prevention in the neighborhood.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6. If you want more details, get in touch with McNeil at MacNeilC.bpd@cityofboston.gov. She’s updating her list of local street captains, so contacting her would be helpful.

Later in the month, Neighborhood Watch street captains are encouraged to organize meetings with their neighbors to participate in Boston Shines – a citywide clean-up effort. Neighborhood Watch organizers are hoping that each street watch, along with park groups, businesses and community organizations, will find a way to get involved in the clean-up. For more info on that event, contact the neighborhood’s liaison in the mayor’s office, Jack Kelly: jack.kelly@cityofboston.gov.
