New Show Cooking at the StoveFactory
Plus, Sgt. Lema chats on Charlestown Live tonight and free ballet, from the mayor's office.

Today is Thursday, March 10. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. When was the last time you’ve been to the StoveFactory Gallery on Medford Street to catch an exhibit by local artists? If the answer is somewhere in the range of "never" and "it’s been a while," you should treat yourself this weekend and stop by for a look at the new show there: Russ Bolt’s photographs and Joe Trepiccione’s paintings. Not only is their work fantastic (and you can get a sneak peek by looking at their web sites, www.russbolt.com and www.joetrepiccione.com), but the itself is a very cool thing to behold. A funky little space chock-full of creativity in an unlikely corner of town. , but the exhibit will continue on Saturday and Sunday this weekend and next from 1 to 5 p.m. on both days. Also, it’s free. For more info visit www.artistsgroupofcharlestown.com.
2. Hey, it’s Thursday. That means Charlestown Live is on. Kathy Giordano is still standing in as host for Peter Looney and this week she’ll chat with Sgt. Tom Lema, the neighborhood’s community service police officer. The show airs at 6:30 p.m. and repeats on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Monday at 10:30 a.m. on BNN-TV.

3. Have you had a look at your license recently? I just heard from my colleague at South End Patch that the RMV no longer sends paper reminders when it's time to renew. However, if you're the forgetful type, you can sign up for an electronic reminder here.
4. Head’s up: Free ballet. No really, and it’s on the mayor. Tomorrow, the mayor’s office and the Boston Public Schools are sponsoring two free shows at the Strand Theatre. The first performance, at 11 a.m., is for BPS students only, but the 7 p.m. performance is free and open to the general public. Click here for more info.

5. This is soul crushing. Today, chance of rain with a high near 42. A good amount of wind. And in the evening, more rain.
