Police Arrest Man with Knife -- and Knife Sharpener
Also, police responded to several reports of car break-ins last week.

These reports were collected from the Boston Police Department and took place within Charlestown's District, A-15. The time and place of the alleged crimes are listed. Persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
- John Humphrey of 9 Eden Street and Joseph Donahue of 91B 13th Street were arrested at 5:45 p.m. on March 14 on Beacham Street and charged with possession of a Class B substance.
- Steven Lance Shea of Randolph was arrested at 12:48 a.m. on March 15 and charged with larceny from a vehicle (under $50) outside 41 Bartlett St.
- Police responded to a report of larceny (over $200) at 108 Cambridge St. at 10:30 p.m. on March 15.
- Several cars around the neighborhood were broken into over night on March 16. Between 6 p.m. and 4 a.m., police responded to five reports of larceny – in some cases as much as $200 or more. Two calls came in from 3rd Avenue and the remaining three were on Walford Way, Green Street and Hill Street.
- John Tyrone of Hyde Park was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (knife) at 70 Old Ironsides Way around 3 p.m. on March 17. That afternoon, patrol officers observed Hyde holding a knife and approached him in parked car.
There were two individuals (one female and one male) in the car as well, police said. While officers made their way towards the car, Hyde smashed both the driver side and front passenger side windows in an effort to assail the passengers, according to a police report. Officers promptly withdrew their guns and ordered Hyde to drop the weapon.
Not only was Hyde carrying a knife, he also had a knife sharpener. When ordered to drop both, Hyde reluctantly complied, police said. And when officers attempted to arrest him, a struggle ensued. After a physical altercation, officers were able to subdue and apprehend him.
Officers spoke to the female passenger of the vehicle who stated that Hyde was an ex-boyfriend who became enraged at seeing her with her current boyfriend.
- Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle involving a bicycle at 2 p.m. on March 18 on Cambridge Street.
- Fabienne Faublis of 138 Medford St., was arrested at 33 Omeara Court and charged with possession of a Class D drug and intent to distribute after an undercover police officer arranged to buy drugs from her.
