Police Reports: Resident Awakened by Break-in

These reports were collected from the Boston Police Department and took place between March 14 and 18 within Charlestown's District A-15. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Resident Awakened by Break-in

A Main Street resident reported that someone broke into his house at around 4 a.m. on Thursday, March 14 but then fled when confronted.

The resident was awakened by someone “banging and kicking at his front door,” according to police reports. At the front door, he saw that a man had gained access to the front mudroom. When the resident asked the man what he was doing, the man fled the area.

The resident told police he believed the man had been “high on drugs.” Nothing was taken from the home.

Police searched the area but did not locate the man.

Drug Arrest in Bunker Hill Area

As part of an ongoing drug investigation, police arrested an individual near the Bunker Hill residential development on Monday, March 11 for possession with intent to distribute a Class C substance (pills).

Local Man Brandishes Gun at Brother

An individual on Vine Street told police he was walking down the street on Thursday, March 14 at around 10 a.m. when his brother pulled up next to him in a black car and brandished a black handgun. The brother did not say anything but just drove off toward Bunker Hill Street, according to reports.

Police are investigating.

Individual Arrested on Shoplifting Warrant

Police arrested an individual in the area of Starr King Court on Friday, March 15 on a default warrant out of Boston Municipal Court for shoplifting.

Woman’s Wallet Stolen After Offering Stranger a Lift

A Cambridge Street who offered another woman a ride home from a bar had her wallet stolen on Saturday, March 16.

The victim told police she had agreed to give a woman she had met at a bar a ride home but stopped to get gas first. While at the gas station, the woman she was driving home told her she no longer needed a lift. The next morning, the victim noticed that her wallet, which had been in the back seat of the car, was missing.

Police Break Up Fight on Austin Street

Police were called to Austin Street on Monday, March 18 at around noon for the report of a fight in the street.

When officers arrived, they attempted to speak to the parties involved, but all individuals were reportedly uncooperative. Police dispersed the crowd, and all but one individual left the area. That individual appeared to be intoxicated and continued to yell and scream despite officers’ repeated requests to calm down and leave, according to reports.

The man was eventually taken into police custody. No charges were mentioned in the report.
