Riders Rev Up for Boston's Wounded Vet Run
Gov. Charlie Baker and House Speaker Robert DeLeo honored veterans at the event.

Thousands of motorcyclists strapped on their helmets for a ride to honor wounded veterans on Saturday.
WHDH reported that the route of the annual Wounded Vet Run, which celebrated its fifth go-around this year, started at Revere and went to East Boston.
Gov. Charlie Baker and House Speaker Robert DeLeo were at the event to personally honor four veterans.

As of Sunday, May 10, $20,000 was raised in this year’s 25-mile ride.
Boston’s Wounded Vet Run, which began in 2011, puts proceeds toward “housing modifications, cars and other things that help improve the quality of life for a wounded war hero,” according to its website.
