Space Available for Women's Club Trip to Ireland
The club has organized a tour of Ireland from Sept. 16-24 -- and anyone is welcome to join them.

When the Charlestown Women's Club held their first meeting last fall, organizers solicited the crowd for suggestions, asking "What kinds of activities do you want to see from this club?"
One woman proposed a group trip to Ireland. And just a few months later, that trip is happening.
For eight days and seven nights this Sept. 16-24, members of the Women's Club will be touring the Emerald Isle. The trip, however, is open to anyone who wants to go, and that includes men.
But the deadline to sign up is approaching fast — April 1. If you're interested in signing up, get in touch with Women's Club President Kathy Giordano at 617-242-1332 or kathygio@verizon.net as soon as possible.
So far about 19 people are signed up to go, and it's a mixed group, according to Giordano. There are some singles, married couples, Women's Club members and non-members. For a few travelers, this is a return trip to Ireland. For others, it's their first time.
"Everything is already taken care of for anyone who wants to go," Giordano said.
Lodging, two meals a day, transportation by motor coach, flights and a packed itinerary are already set, she said. The total cost for the package is $1,499 plus $872 for airfare.
"If there was someone who wanted to go but didn't have anyone to travel with, this is a great opportunity," Giordano said.
The itinerary includes one night in Waterford, two in Killarney, two nights in Galway and two nights in Dublin.
