Want Organic Produce Delivered to Your Door?
Yeah -- a local company can do that for you.

Today is Wednesday, March 23. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. If you walk around the Navy Yard, you’ll start to notice there are quite a few buildings that seem to have something health-care related going on inside of them. I’m still trying to get a handle myself on all the work MGH and MGH Institutes for Health for Professions manage in the neighborhood. This week Patch reporter Amanda Kersey provided a little more clarity. She wrote a feature on that operate in the Navy Yard. They’re teaching clinics for graduate students – but they’re also excellent resources for local people who need care, but have a gap in their health insurance coverage and can’t otherwise pay for it. If this is news to you as well, .
2. Boston Organics is a delivery service that brings organic produce (often locally-sourced) right to your door on a weekly basis. Customers get to choose from 19 different types of produce “boxes” varying in size and fruit-to-veggie ratios. They deliver all over the city and here’s the important part: This is a successful business that’s based in Charlestown. If you’re curious about joining or just learning more about the work they do over on Terminal Street, click over to Public Radio Kitchen, where they highlighted Boston Organics this week in a blog post.

3. Here’s an interesting fact: In Massachusetts, more than 85 percent of the 17-year-olds entering the adult corrections system are accused of non-violent crimes. A new report estimates that only one-third of the cases involving 17-year-olds that make it to arraignment result in conviction. Nevertheless, these youth often spend time jailed along with adults. This came to me from Citizens for Juvenile Justice, an organization that is advocating for Massachusetts to change the age of adult prosection from 17 to 18, as it is in 37 states. The group is releasing a report this spring that looks at the impact that change would have on the state. To find out more about the initiative, visit www.campaignforyouthjustice.org
4. Quick reminder: The Development Committee of the Charlestown Neighborhood Council is meeting to discuss the future of Pier 5. I’ve been hearing from a lot of people about how important this meeting is for the neighborhood. We’ll be there.

5. That weather wasn’t even a little bit spring like yesterday. Today, much worse: A slight chance of snow before 1 p.m., then rain. High near 40. Snow likely tonight.
