That day, detectives stopped a vehicle on Westford Street that they believed to be trafficking marijuana and delivering it to numerous locations in the city. Chelmsford’s K-9 unit assisted detectives in confirming the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle, which was later found to be carrying 50 pounds of marijuana.

An additional 12 pounds was found at 105 Gates St. The two discoveries led to the arrests as well as search warrants for the men’s apartments. Those searches undercovered “additional evidence of a large scale marijuana distribution operation.”
