Around 6 p.m. on Monday, a police officer initiated a traffic stop of a gray 2006 Toyota Corolla near the intersection of Chelmsford Street at Alpine Lane. After running the vehicle’s plate, the officer discovered the owner, Rahimian, had a warrant out of Orange District Court.

“This is a superb example of an officer using his training and judgement to follow through with what initially started as a traffic violation,” Chief Spinney said. “Through quality policing, the officer was able to peacefully place the man under arrest and assist in keeping the streets of Chelmsford safe for residents.”
