This wide-ranging bulletin also highlights local food pantry needs, volunteer opportunities, cultural programs, and water-use restrictions that may affect Chelmsford residents who work, shop, or socialize in nearby Acton and surrounding towns. 
• River Hawks Open 2026 at Dartmouth for the Ivy League/America East Challenge (goriverhawks.com) — UMass Lowell’s women’s track and field team opened 2026 strong at Dartmouth’s Ivy League/America East Challenge, with several top finishes across jumps, sprints, and distance events. Chelmsford’s own junior thrower Nhyira Nkansah contributed in the shot put, giving local fans another reason to follow the River Hawks as they head next to Harvard’s Beantown Challenge.
