LETTER: High School Senior Voting for Askenburg

The following is a letter to the editor.

Dear Editor,

I have been following politics my whole life. As a current high school senior, this is the first election that I am able to vote in.

I wanted to find a candidate that is strong and one that will help to keep Chelmsford strong. After looking at the candidates I knew that that was Janet Askenburg. Janet has worked hard to defend Chelmsford.

As a member of the School committee, she has been fiscal responsibly, shown great accountability, and has been a proven leader. When she ran for School Committee she pledged to improve communication and to improve Chelmsford schools. She has done both.

Janet saw a problem and worked to fix it. On a visit to Byam Elementary school she noticed the outside common area was over grown and unused. She was able to open the educational space for the children and teachers at Byam.

Janet went above and beyond as a member of the school committee. Janet is committed to working hard for the town of Chelmsford.

Janet listens to all of the information and makes the best decision for the town once everything has been presented.

I respectfully ask that you will consider giving Janet Askenburg one of your two votes. She has proven she can be a leader and will with your vote be a great addition to the Board of Selectmen.

Sincerely,

Zachary T. Ferris
