Pat has established a track record of making terrific contributions to our town. For 13 years, he has played a lead role in the Town’s building projects, including schools, two town halls, the DPW facility and the new fire station. In all cases, the phases of these projects were completed on time and under budget, with millions of dollars saved through state school reimbursements.

Particularly important is the manner in which Pat led these efforts. He worked hard to incorporate the needs of his constituencies and he passionately supported the proposals that were developed. But, when voters rejected two initial building proposals, he didn’t give up. Rather than walk away, he listened to the voters’ mandate and worked to develop new proposals. He was determined to find solutions that best fit the needs of the Town and the desires of the residents.
Through these activities, he has gained an integral understanding of how municipal government works. He has spent a tremendous amount of time with the Town’s leadership and, in particular, operating departments such as the schools, fire & DPW, to understand their operations and needs. He has represented our Town before state agencies when soliciting grant money and our school building project was held out by the state as a model for success.
Our Town needs and deserves “doers” – people who keep their eye on the goal and find a way to make it happen. We need selectmen who listen, understand the issues, and approach solutions constructively and creatively. We need teamwork and positivity. Pat Maloney has these attributes, understands how our Town works, and has proven he can deliver. Please join me in giving Pat one of your two votes for Selectman on April 2nd.
