Possible Tractor Trailer Fire Investigated Behind Hannaford

The following are excerpts from the Chelmsford Fire Department log for the week of April 1 to April 7.

 

April 1, 7:29 a.m. - A waste truck called firefighters after a hydraulic truck leak near Chelmsford High School.

While there was a spill, no fire was reported in relation to the leak.

April 2, n/a - Firefighters investigated a possible tractor trailer truck on fire behind Hannaford.

April 4, 7:29 a.m. - Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries near the Drum Hill Circle heading toward the McCarthy School.

April 4, 2:08 p.m. - Three firefighter units investigated a possible brush fire near Nicholas Trail.

April 4, 5:37 p.m. - Injuries were reported after a car hit a motorcycle on Riverneck Road.

April 5, 8:16 a.m. - A reported car fire was noted near Exit 33 on Route 495 Northbound.

April 5, 11:17 a.m. - Firefighters investigated reports of excessive burning near the corner of Glendale Avenue and Dunstable Road.

April 6, 1:28 p.m. - Reports of unauthorized burning were investigated on Parkerville Road, followed by an investigation of smoking mulch on Chelmsford Street and a smoking oven later that afternoon.
