Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Concord Housing Authority at 8 a.m., the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Advisory Committee at 8 a.m., the Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Countil -- Training & Exercise at 12 p.m., the Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council -- Full Council Meeting at 1 p.m., the Historical Commission at 5 p.m. and the Board of Appeals at 7:30 p.m.

3. Dollar Oysters at Merchant's RowFrom 5 to 8 p.m. today, you can get local oysters for a $1 at Merchant's Row, a restaurant at Concord's Colonial Inn.

5. Showers, Maybe: There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms (again) today, with a high of 83, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts heavy rain overnight and a low of 64.
