5 Things: Friendship Bracelets, Dance Explosions and More

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 1 in Concord.

1. Friendship Bracelets, Because It's Summer: At 11 a.m. this morning, drop by Dabblers in West Concord and learn how to twist, knot and tie colorful bracelets from embroidery floss. The workshop will also be held on July 24 and Aug. 1.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Public Ceremonies & Celebrations Committee at 6 p.m. and the Thoreau School Advisory Council at 6:30 p.m. 

3. Summer Dance ExplosionAt 4 p.m. today over at in Bedford, there's a high-energy dance class for children ages 5 to 10. Summer Dance Explosion, located at 12 Mudge Way, is an eight-week session beginning today, July 1s, and runnig every Monday this summer though Aug. 19. Drop in for $15 per class, or buy a summer dance card and pay just $55 for 4 classes, $70 for 6 classes, or $80 for 8 classes. For further information, please contact Renae Stockton Nichols at rsnichols77@gmail.com or 617-448-5794.

5. Storms are Threatening: Heavy rain and possible thunderstorms are in the forecast for today with a high of 81, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more rain overnight and a low of 68.
