Concord: Water Is Safe To Drink, Cloudy From Air Bubbles
Residents in the Thoreau depot and town center have been experiencing cloudy water, but the town said it's just air in the water.
CONCORD, MA — Concord residents in the Thoreau depot and town center have been experiencing cloudy water, but the town said it's just air in the water. "While this may look a bit unusual, the water is safe to drink and use as normal," the town wrote in a notice to the community.
Concord has been experiencing very high water demand for the last several weeks, which officials believe may be contributing to the air in the water. The town is reducing the amount of water that is being pumped from some supplies, to alleviate the water demand.
The town will likely issue a mandatory one-day per week lawn watering restriction within the next 24 hours unless officials see a notable reduction in water demand.
