CONCORD, MA — Concord's Ellen Quackenbush was recently named a 2020 Commonwealth Heroine. Quackenbush is one of the leaders of Concord’s Complete Count effort and was recommended by State Rep. Tami Gouveia.
The annual Commonwealth Heroines celebration recognizes women from across the state who "perform unheralded acts daily that make our homes, neighborhoods, cities and towns better places to live." State legislators are responsible for recommending women within their districts for the honor.
Quackenbuch is one of the leaders of Concord’s Complete Count effort, using her passion and organizing skills to ensure every Concord resident is counted in this year’s census. She was also a frequent volunteer with the Concord Carlisle League of Women Voters.
