Holten-Richmond Students Donate 2,790 Pounds of Food for the Holidays
The Holten Richmond held their annual HRMS Thanksgiving Food Drive for the People-to-People Food Pantry.

students went above and beyond last year's achivements, raising 2,790 lbs. of food to be donated to the for the holiday season.
This year's food drive was held the week before Thanksgiving, with donations far exceeding last years total of 1,722 lbs.
"This year our shelves at the food pantry were really, really low and we were in desperate need of food to fulfill turkey dinners," said Nancy Bray, the HRMS food drive coordinator. "The enthusiastic Student Council, Guidance Department, and student body made it a wonderful success!"

Alongside the canned food drive, the students raised also raised $500 from their danceand personally brought a check over to Barbara Remon, principal of the pantry. The teachers also held their own turkey drive for the cause.
Each year, the class in each grade with the most weight in non-perishable food wins a munchkin/juice breakfast.
