Two attorneys that represented victims in the 2006 CAI plant explosion are facing criminal charges in an indictment that say they added fake victims in their lawsuit settlements against finance companies, according to an article in the Salem News.
The two lawyers, Peter Lagorio, 57, of Lynnfield, and Michael Germano, 49, of Wilmington, are facing over a dozen counts, all pertaining to their actions in obtaining funds from a finance company based on fake victims of the plant explosion in 2006 in Danvers.
One of the lawyers, Lagorio, had actual victims in the case and had access to details in the $7 million settlement against the company.
