Danvers Fire Department To Host Open House With Sparky The Fire Dog
Firefighters will also demonstrate the "Jaws of Life" during a vehicle rescue demonstration.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents will be able to explore fire trucks and apparatus, watch a "Jaws of Life" vehicle rescue and meet Sparky the Fire Dogs as the fire department's open house next week.
The open house will take place on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Danvers Fire Headquarters on High Street.
Visitors will learn simple, life-saving fire safety tips, including the "Stop, Drop and Roll" method, and explore an ambulance from Northeast Regional Ambulance.

"Our Open House is all about bringing the community together and helping families feel
confident about fire safety," Fire Chief Brian Barry said. "We want everyone, especially kids, to leave with practical tips they can use and a stronger connection to their local fire department."
Johnnie’s Beef and Pizza, Todisco Towing, and Northeast Regional Ambulance are sponsoring the event. Guests will also enjoy free pizza, provided by our partners at Johnnie’s Beef and Pizza.
