Danvers Girl Scout Brings Benches to Rail Trail

A Danvers girl scout has completed a project for her Gold Award that involved finding benches to sit along a rail trail and then affixing plaques to them.

Three new benches will sit along the Rail Trail in Danvers thanks to Danvers girl scout Christina Liotti, who finished the project for her Gold Award.

With the help of Peabody's Brooksby Village who donated the benches, Liotti had the benches, adorned with plaques, installed at three different points on the Rail Trail that runs through Danvers, Peabody and other communities.

Liotti also had flowers surrounding the benches as well.

Liotti was able to finish the project with the help of Rail Trail Committee member Laura Cilley, Senior Planner for Danvers Kate Day, Stan Yeakel, Director of General Services, Brooksby Village, and Stefanie Fuller, Fitness Specialist at Brooksby Village.

The Gold Award is the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
