Danvers Hockey Star Duggan Makes Olympic Team

Danvers native Megan Duggan was recently one of 25 women to make the 2014 US Olympics women's hockey team.

Danvers woman, Megan Duggan, 25, will be training with the US women's hockey Olympic team over the next few months, according to an article in the Salem News. 

Duggan, who competed in the last Olympic games with the team, was recently chosen out of 41 other woman at a trial in Lake Placid, N.Y.

“We had a tremendous camp with our country's best players and faced some very difficult decisions," said director of women's hockey for USA Hockey Reagan Carey in a release.

Of the 25 women chosen to train with the team over the next few months, only 21 will go on to compete in the 2014 games.
