Danvers To Host Annual Household Hazardous Waste Day
Danvers residents can safety dispose of paints, cleaners, and chemicals free of charge.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents are invited to dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste items — such as gasoline, paints, cleaners and chemicals — free of charge as the town's annual household waste collection day.
The event is set for 8 a.m. to noon on Nov. 15 in the Danvers High School parking lot.
Proof of residency is required. Non-residents will be able to utilize the disposal day as a fee.

This is a drop-off event only — there will be no curbside pickup. Waste should be placed in the trunk, flatbed or back hatch of a vehicle. No items will be taken from the passenger section. Residents must remain in their vehicles at all times.
Commercial waste and vehicles will not be accepted.

Accepted items include chemical fertilizers, pesticides, pool chemicals, antifreeze, up to five gallons of waste oil, gasoline, drain cleaners, as well as oil-based paints and stains.
