Danvers Man, 'Father Of Two,' Indicted On Child Porn Charges
Joseph Corbett, 50, boasted that he was the proud father of "two beautiful girls" in an email handle, according to federal investigators.
DANVERS, MA —A Danvers man whose email handle said he was the father of "two beautiful girls" was indicted on federal child pornography charges Thursday. Joseph Corbett, 50, of Danvers, had been arrested last month and released with conditions after being charged with one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. When Department of Homeland Security executed a search warrant on June 14, they found an iPhone belonging to Corbett that had images ofshowing sexual abuse of girls between the ages of 6 and 8 years old.
Each charge calls for sentences of five to 20 years and fines of up to $250,000 under federal sentencing guidelines. According to court documents, Corbett used the messaging app Kik to exchange the images, and he used an email address that started with "fatheroftwobeautifulgirls" to register for his Kik account.
Corbett's wife and daughters were home when he was arrested last month. During an interview with investigators, he admitted to using the app to access child porn messaging groups and gave investigators descriptions of the images he had received, according to the indictment.
