Danvers Route 128 Overnight Paving Begins

The state DOT will start paving Route 128 in Danvers from Exit 22 to the Beverly city line this week.

DANVERS, MA – The Mass. Department of Transportation will pave Route 128 in Danvers starting the week of May 19, until early June.

The paving will be conducted overnight from Exit 22 (Route 62) to the Beverly city line. MassDOT will be doing pavement milling and resurfacing; cleaning, repairing, and adjusting drainage structures; placing pavement markings; and installing rumble strips, according to a statement.

The estimated cost of the work is $610,000. Some work will take place during the day at non peak times. Lane closures will be implemented during the work, which is weather dependent.
