Danvers Rail Trail Committee Holds Mother's Day Walk
Kick off Mother's Day weekend with a scenic walk on Saturday, May 13.

DANVERS, MA – The Rail Trail Committee is hosting a Mother's Day walk on May 13 with varying distances for all walkers.
Mothers and grandmothers will also be entered in a raffle to win a gift certificate or other prize. Water will be available during the walk, and walkers will get candies at the end.
The walk starts at 10 a.m. in the Hobart Street parking lot, and will be led by committee member Charles Lincicum and volunteer Tracey Heron.

Walkers can go on one of several walks: To Chestnut Street (1 mile return), to the Danvers High School Bridge (2.0 miles return), Putnamville Park (3.0 miles return) Danvers Town line (4.5 miles return) and finally to the SwampWalk (5.0 miles return). The northern end of this walk is along one of the more forested sections of the trail. Walkers of all ages, and dogs on leashes are welcome. Dog walkers will start out at 10:15 a.m.
