DCR Grant Will Bring Stone Dust Surface to Rail Trail

The Department of Conservation and Recreation is honoring Danvers with a $50,000 grant to help finish their rail trail.

The Danvers Rail Trail will be getting a stone dust surface to add the last piece of the puzzle before the town can officially open the Danvers/Wenham trail, part of a bigger rail trail running from Peabody to Salisbury.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation is awarding a $50,000 grant to the town for this purpose on Friday morning.

The grant awarding is taking place at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31 at 10 Hobart St., which is adjacent to the Cherry Street Fish Market.
