Extreme Heat Postpones Danvers Downtown Rewind
Temperatures are expected to top 100 degrees on Tuesday.
DANVERS, MA — The Danvers downtown block party revived as Downtown Rewind three years ago has been postponed because of Tuesday's extreme heat.
Danvers FalconFest, which organizes the event, said the Downtown Rewind was postponed to Thursday.
"We hope you can all still make it to this amazing event," organizers said.

The National Weather Service said the "dangerously hot conditions" will include a heat index value of up to 110 degrees on Tuesday. The NWS issued the Extreme Heat Warning through Tuesday at 8 p.m.
The NWS forecast high on Tuesday is 102 degrees with a heat index of 109 degrees. The all-time high temperature in Boston is 104 degrees.
