The college gave out $175,000 to 200 students for high grades and community and college service.

DANVERS, MA – The North Shore Community College (NSCC) Foundation has awarded $175,000 in scholarships to 200 NSCC students who excel in the classroom and in service to the college and community. The NSCC Foundation will award up to $200,000 in scholarship awards this year to incoming and current NSCC students.

The awards were announced at a reception attended by student recipients and the donors whose generosity made the scholarships possible. New scholarships awarded this year include the Frank Day Memorial Scholarship and the Christina Mele Memorial Scholarship.

Approximately 62 percent of students attending NSCC receive some sort of financial assistance. For many deserving students, scholarship assistance bridges a critical gap between financial aid and payments out-of-pocket.
