• Lack Of Snow, Rain Sparks 'Significant' Drought In Northeast MA, Central MA (patch.com) — Danvers residents are being urged to conserve water as state officials declare a “significant drought” across much of northeast and central Massachusetts, with some regions at “critical” levels. While local supplies are currently stable, the state warns that low snowfall and a long-running rain deficit are stressing groundwater, streams, and ponds, and recommends shorter showers, fixing leaks, and cutting nonessential water use.
