Talbot Memorial 5K Run/Walk Will Take Place on October 5, 2025

Danvers, MA -- The Talbot Memorial Run/Walk will be held this year on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Great Oak School in Danvers, benefiting the Talbot Memorial Fund.

The Talbot Memorial Fund has supported over 100 individuals and families battling cancer on the North Shore. In addition, scholarships have been awarded to approximately 85 deserving Danvers High School seniors in honor of Lynda and Bruce Talbot. Donations have also been made to numerous cancer research organizations.

“In 2011, our community came together for the inaugural Lynda J. Talbot Memorial 5K Walk/Run in honor of our beloved mother, Lynda J. Talbot, after her courageous battle with breast cancer," said Stacy (Talbot) Bazylinski. "In 2022, we mourned the loss of our father, Bruce, after his equally remarkable fight against lung cancer. To honor their memory and contribute to the ongoing fight against cancer, we established this memorial 5K.”

Bruce and Lynda Talbot had been lifelong residents of Danvers, attending Danvers High School, creating lasting relationships, and raising a family within the community.
