Tennessee Gas Pipeline Surveyors in Lynnfield
The Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company is seeking federal approval to expand its existing pipeline system from Middleton to Danvers.

LYNNFIELD, MA - A crew of surveyors associated with Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company LLC will be conducting a survey, from the public ways, of classifications of dwellings and buildings in the areas of the proposed NED pipeline route, for the purpose of design of the pipeline in those areas, according to town officials.
Surveyors will be operating from the public ways, and occasionally will be taking photos. This activity may extend over the next several weeks.
The Lynnfield line would be part of a larger 13,000-mile Tennessee Gas pipeline system.

The pipeline proposed by Kinder Morgan and the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company originates in New York and passes through western Massachusetts before traveling through a number of New Hampshire and Massachusetts communities and then terminating in Dracut. The goal of the project is to expand natural gas energy capabilities to the Northeast.
The pipeline proposal is regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and could involve a number of other federal and state agencies which have standards and regulations that affect natural gas pipelines.
Company officials said earlier this year they hope to file the project with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in 2015, get approval in 2016, start construction in 2017 and finish work in 2018.
