Two 'Major' Drug Arrests Made in Ipswich
Two suspected drug traffickers were arrested and charged on separate occasions with the help of Danvers K-9 Officer Justin Ellenton.

IPSWICH, MA – After a traffic stop on Valentine's Day, Ipswich Police arrested Juan De Jesus Andujar Tejeda, 28, of Boston, on charges of trafficking cocaine – the second such arrest since December.
Ipswich Police Officer David Moore pulled Tejeda over on Feb. 14 for canceled registration. With the help of North Andover Police Officer Fredy Almanzar-Thomas translating over the phone, police discovered Tejeda gave Moore a false name and fake social security number. He was arrested on charges of driving an unregistered car, giving a fake name and SSN to law enforcement, possession of false RMV documents, and trafficking cocaine.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on Tejeda.

Danvers Police Officer Justin Ellenton and K-9 Stryka, and Gloucester Police Officer Chris Genovese and K-9 Mako, helped provide probable cause for a search warrant and found cocaine hidden in the car.
Two months earlier, on Dec. 15, Ipswich Police faced a similar situation during a traffic stop, and arrested Ramon Solano, 48, of Revere, on charges of unlicensed driving, giving a false name or SSN to law enforcement officers.

The next day, Ellenton and Stryka helped establish probable cause to search the vehicle, and found multiple hidden compartments used to smuggle drugs, and a large compartment filled with cocaine and fentanyl.
"Our Ipswich police officers are highly trained and adhere to the modern best practices of policing and investigations," Ipswich Police Chief Paul Nikas said. "All of the officers involved in these arrests are to be commended for rooting out the lies and not only arresting two drug dealers, but also taking a significant quantity of deadly drugs out of our community."
