When Will the Next Police Chief be Chosen in Danvers?
Danvers Police Chief Neil F. Ouellette retired at the end of June.

DANVERS, MA - The town’s next police chief will be chosen the same way as previous police chiefs have been chosen in Danvers - through the Massachusetts Civil Service process.
Town officials will be conducting an assessment center for interested and qualified internal police chief candidates on Feb. 6, according to Town Manager Steve Bartha. Once complete and validated by Civil Service, a permanent appointment will be made, Bartha said, likely in March.
Danvers Police Chief Neil F. Ouellette retired at the end of June. Patrick M. Ambrose, who has over 30 years on the department, is serving as the acting police chief.
